Concrete Wall Calculator
The calculator treats a garden wall or a stem wall as one straight rectangle stood on edge. Length and height are in feet. Thickness is in inches. The result is a quantity estimate, not a concrete order.
Your estimate
Assumptions
Volume in cubic feet is length × height × thickness, with thickness converted from inches to feet. Cubic yards equal that volume divided by 27. A 20 ft wall that is 3 ft high and 8 inches thick is 40 cubic feet, which is 1.48 cubic yards.
Empty fields and values of zero or less are rejected. If the wall turns a corner, measure the centerline once so the corner is not counted twice. A footing under the wall is a second rectangle. Use the footing calculator for that trench and add the two yardages.
This page does not size a retaining wall, set frost depth, or place steel. A short landscape curb that is only a few inches high belongs on the curb calculator.
