How much extra?
Concrete Waste Factor Calculator
The calculator adds a waste percentage to a base volume in cubic yards. Use it after the slab or driveway tool. The adjusted figure is still a quantity estimate, not a concrete order.
Your estimate
Assumptions
The adjusted volume is the base yardage multiplied by one plus the waste percent divided by 100. Cubic feet equal that yardage times 27. A negative percent is rejected. A base volume of zero or less is rejected.
Waste is not a code requirement. It is a planning extra for an uneven subgrade, over-excavation, or the last of a chute. Ready-mix is often rounded to the next quarter yard at the plant. This tool does not apply that rounding unless you change the number yourself.
